Judge personal information:

I have been involved in show cattle production since childhood with a focus on Simmental cattle. During my youth I was very active in 4-H as well as the American Junior Simmental Association where I served as a board member and consistantly placed with top honors at our regional and national classics. Since then, I have had the opportunity to judge numerous cattle shows across the nation including county fairs of all sizes, jackpot shows, regional & national classics as well as multiple State Fairs. This constitutes over 20 years of judging experience. 


I have experience in both junior and open shows. These opportunities have allowed me to sort multiple breeds for breeding and market beef, both in the youth arenas as well as for dedicated open breed shows. I do greatly enjoy working with youth on all levels as well as the opportunity to evaluate showmanship competitions. A key to my success in the ring is not only in my ability to evaluate, but having extensive training and experience in public speaking which aids in clear reasoning while on the microphone. I have been an auctioneer for over 25 years as well as an established emcee and former radio broadcaster.  I am happy to discuss my qualifications more in depth as needed.
